Self or Family Managed Care

Manitoba is the sole province that offers the Self and Family Managed Care Program (SFMC) to qualified home care recipients. This initiative allows you to obtain funding of up to $1177 a week for home care services.

With these funds, you can hire a care company to manage your care. You have the freedom to choose who comes into your home, when they come, and what tasks they perform.
Blue Cross Insurance - When prescribed by a physician. Coverage is up to $40 per day, for a maximum of 14 days per illness or injury.

Long Term Insurance - many insurance policies include coverage for home care. Reach out to your insurance provider to see if you qualify.

MPI - If you have been hurt in an vehicular accident, you may be eligible for MPI coverage.
